Sustainability and environmental responsibility in logistics

Approach
to sustainability in transport

Polish Forwarding Company treats effective logistics as a matter of both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility. The range of low-emission transport solutions is developed consistently, and clients are supported in meeting their sustainability goals (ESG, Environmental, Social, Governance).

Approach to sustainability in transport

Carbon footprint calculation and reduction (CO2)

A precise CO2 emissions calculator is available for every transport mode, sea, air, rail and road. This allows clients to manage the environmental impact of their supply chains with full awareness and to introduce emissions reduction strategies.

Investment in green infrastructure

The warehouses in Gdansk and Warsaw meet Class A energy efficiency standards, and transhipment operations are planned to limit energy use and exhaust emissions.

Partnerships with responsible carriers

Polish Forwarding Company works with shipping lines and road carriers that invest in a low-emission fleet, LNG propulsion, Eco-Drive systems and alternative fuels.

Client education and advisory

Companies receive support in implementing Green Supply Chain strategies, with CO2 analysis, environmental reporting and emissions reduction recommendations for logistics.

Prioritising low-emission transport solutions

The choice of greener transport modes is supported, such as:

  • rail and intermodal transport on Asia-Europe routes,
  • LCL consolidation instead of part-load FCL and LTL shipments,
  • efficient road transport planning (groupage, cross-docking),
  • route and load optimisation supported by TMS and WMS systems.

Carbon footprint calculator

An interactive CO2 emissions calculator is available on this page, which allows:

  • carbon footprint calculation for a specific shipment (by type, distance and transport mode),
  • comparison of transport options by emissions,
  • generation of an emissions report assigned to a shipment or order.

An option for automated CO2 reporting will soon be available for clients integrated with the TMS used by Polish Forwarding Company.
