The Baltic Sea has not witnessed so many changes in a long time. Rising investments in security, the rapid development of offshore wind energy, shifting trade routes, and advancing digitalization all mean that the maritime industry needs a place to exchange experiences and engage in joint discussions. The answer to these challenges will be this year’s edition of the BALTEXPO fair in Gdańsk – one of the most important events of its kind in this part of Europe.
After years of relative calm, the maritime sector is now facing a range of new challenges and opportunities. EU regulations and the pressure of decarbonization are driving investments in alternative fuels, modern propulsion systems, and fleet modernization. At the same time, offshore wind energy in the Baltic and North Seas is opening vast opportunities for shipyards, technology providers, and industry service companies.
It is crucial that the sector’s voice is heard in Europe – only then can it influence regulations, attract investors, and set common standards. This is exactly the kind of platform for dialogue and cooperation that BALTEXPO provides. This year in Gdańsk, more than 200 companies from Poland and abroad will be presenting, while alongside the exhibition there will also be events such as Security Day, Education, Career & Employment Day, as well as the prestigious Baltic Ports Conference, organized by BPO.
BALTEXPO is not just a showcase of technological innovations and pioneering projects. Above all, it is a place where decisions are made that shape the future of ports, the growth of offshore energy, the digitalization of supply chains, and the development of workforce skills.
The fair will take place in Gdańsk in October 2025. Promotional ticket prices are available until September 15, and the full event program can be found on the organizer’s website: www.baltexpo.eu.
