On October 10, 2025, the Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdańsk handled its 25 millionth TEU since the beginning of its operations. This is a symbolic moment in the history of Poland’s largest maritime container terminal and one of the most important transshipment hubs in the Baltic Sea region.
This is an exceptional milestone in the history of Baltic Hub, as each of these 25 million TEUs represents a story of collaboration, professionalism, and mutual trust. Reaching this threshold also highlights the dynamic growth of Baltic Hub and the terminal’s increasing role as a cargo handling center for the Baltic Sea region and Central and Eastern Europe.
The anniversary container — marked with a special commemorative inscription — was handled on a vessel operated by one of the terminal’s long-term partners, CMA CGM. The terminal hosted Niels Jakobsgaard Andersen, who received a symbolic gift commemorating the handling of this special container — in Gdańsk, in Pomerania, on the Baltic Sea.
“Thanks to the partnership, openness, and loyalty of our customers, we are able to grow, invest in modern technologies, and continuously raise our service standards. Thanks to our employees, their knowledge, and daily commitment, we can turn these ambitions into reality and take on challenges that once seemed impossible,” the company stated.
Baltic Hub began operations in 2007 (then as DCT Gdańsk) and today handles the world’s largest container vessels, serving as the main transshipment port for Poland and the surrounding region.
